Barry Lewis the chairman of Footscray RUFC said “In recent years there have been a number of high profile knife crime incidents that have resulted in a loss of life of local teenagers. It was decided by the committee to support the youth in the local community and help focus their energy into the character building sport of Rugby Union”.
